I am worried…..
I am worried how they compare themselves to the perfection on the screens.
I am worried how they value beauty over their intelligence
I am worried they think it’s more important to be beautiful then to be kind and witty
I am worried about unrealistic body expectations and they don’t always know what a real body looks like, with lumps and all
Let’s make the promise to remind our girls that they are beautiful
Lets work together to remind our teenage girls how they don’t need to change
Let’s remind our girls that nothing in life is perfect (not even those photoshopped pictures on the socials)
Let’s remind our girls we don’t need to be perfect to be loved
Let’s remind our girls to spend more time grounded in everyday life and away from their screens
Let’s remind our girls to stick together and to uplift each other with positivity
Let’s remind our girls to talk to us about all the ways they don’t feel enough
Let’s remind our girls how to live a balanced healthy way of life with healthy foods, exercise, water drinks, happy thoughts
Let’s all work together to stop what I worry could be our next pandemic of body dysmorphia in our girls
